As
licensing consultants for Microsoft, we provide a sales channel for
Microsoft’s Volume Licensing Programs and Full Package Products, and
will work to ensure customers’ software needs are met.
Microsoft
is motivated and inspired every day by how customers use software to
find creative solutions to business problems, develop breakthrough
ideas, and stay connected to what's most important to them. Microsoft
runs their business in much the same way, and believes that their five
business segments offer the greatest potential to serve customers. They
are:
Client: Includes the Windows product family and is responsible for our relationships with personal computer manufacturers.
Server and Tools:
Software server products, services and solutions, including: Windows
Server operating system, Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Enterprise
Services, Visual Studio, System Center products, Forefront security
products and Biz Talk Server.
Online Services Business:
Consists of an online advertising platform with offerings for
publishers and advertisers, personal communications services such as
e-mail and instant messaging, and online information offerings such as
Live Search and the MSN portals and channels.
Microsoft Business Division:
Includes the Microsoft Office suites, desktop programs, servers, and
services and solutions; Microsoft Dynamics; and Unified Communications
business solutions.
Entertainment and Devices Division:
Consists of the Xbox video game system, including consoles and
accessories, Xbox Live operations, Zune digital music and entertainment
device; Mediaroom, mobile and embedded device platforms, Surface
computing platform, and Windows Automotive.

Licensing & Management Solutions offers Microsoft’s Volume License
Programs, available to commercial, education, government and
not-for-profit customers.
Enterprise License Program:
Microsoft Enterprise Agreement makes it easy to acquire Microsoft
software licenses for customers who are interested in standardizing on
some or the entire Microsoft enterprise platform of products. With
Enterprise Agreement, pricing levels for the enterprise products are
determined by the total number of qualified desktops. The initial order
is made at the time of signing an enterprise enrolment. The initial
order defines the enterprise product selection, additional product
selection, and the designated language group.
Enterprise
Platform Enterprise Agreement offers a flexible way to standardize an
organization on the following enterprise platform of Microsoft products:
- Microsoft Office Professional
- Microsoft Windows Professional Desktop Upgrade
- Microsoft Core Client Access License (CAL)
Select License Program:
Microsoft Select offers organizations a multi-leveled, volume price
solution on product licenses while enabling for easy tracking of
software license purchases through online order confirmations and
annual purchase summaries. Select License is based on a forecast of the
total volume of software licenses the customer expects to acquire over
a three year period. Forecasts are made by product pools; applications,
systems, and servers. The initial order is made at the time of signing
a select enrolment.
Software Assurance:
Microsoft's Software Assurance gives your customer automatic access to
new technology and provides productivity benefits, support, tools, and
training to help deploy and use software efficiently. Through the
following:

Campus Agreement:
Microsoft Campus Agreement is an annual, subscription licensing program
specifically created to address the unique needs of higher educational
institutions. Along with the flexibility of a streamlined agreement and
subscription process, the customer will appreciate the simplicity of
counting people instead of computers, making it easy to license their
entire institution or just a single department.
School Agreement:
Microsoft School Agreement is an annual, subscription licensing program
specifically created to address the unique needs of primary and
secondary schools and districts. With the simplicity of counting
computers just once per year, School Agreement makes it easy for the
customer to license all of their computers, whether in a single school
or throughout the entire district.
Open Business:
This program saves customers on estimated retail prices by placing an
initial order for five or more licenses. Customers can combine
Microsoft products to qualify for the five license minimum. The
Customer can place additional orders as small as one license through
the two-year term of their Open License authorization number.
Open Volume:
This program offers greater savings over estimated retail prices with a
minimum initial order of 500 points within a product pool of
applications, systems, or servers. Each license carries a unit value of
at least one point. The customer can place additional orders as small
as one license throughout the two-year term of their Open License
authorization number.
Open Academic:
This program allows accredited academic organizations to purchase
multiple software licenses at reduced prices, by placing an initial
order for 5 or more licenses. Customers can combine Microsoft products
to qualify for the five license minimum. The Customer can place
additional orders as small as one license through the two-year term of
their Open License authorization number
Open License Value:
Open Value Program is a 3 yr contractual software license purchase
plan, specifically for business customers. Designed for organizations
with as few as five and up to 250 desktops, Open Value offers the
advantages of *Software Assurance (SA) to stay current, and the ability
to spread payments annually, to help cash flow.
The Company-wide Option offers additional savings and a single price
per desktop for organizations that want to standardize all their
desktops on one or more Microsoft Enterprise Products, and to spread
payments annually. |
